If one of the main goals is to prevent death we should look at that rate even as the total number Of deaths gets bigger. The virus isn’t gaining steam. But you know that since you’re so smart.

We should also look at the rate of hospitalization. Is the virus getting more potent?

IOW there are a lot of ways to look at “worse.” And not all definitions have to match your definition
