1. The government/health workers were far more competent in the film than in real life.
2. The people on the street are much better behaved in the real world than in the film. This makes me wonder if part of the government's bungling of this has been that they think of themselves like the Contagion heroes and us as the stupid, panicky public, and so they can't bring themselves to be honest.
3. Some of the stuff sounds like it's ripped right out of today's headlines, e.g., social distancing, R0, contact tracing, etc.
4. Nevertheless, it's weird how little distancing they actually do in the film.
5. The thing all starts and comes to an end quickly, whereas in the real world it has been building forever, and they're predicting will come to a slow, painful end, too.
