I left out a big part: we are really only guessing at how widespread the virus

is because nobody has done sufficient widespread testing. In Italy, 60 out of 80 blood donors tested positive despite none of them having symptoms. There is some evidence that it is more transmissible and therefore less deadly than we believe.
