BYU is giving the football players a slightly lower stipend (to my knowledge, other sports are not getting their stipends)

The NCAA does not stop athletes from getting jobs. BYU is actually helping its athletes get jobs on campus. Boosters and Alumni have also stepped up in finding jobs for athletes.

One of the issues players do have now is finding workout equipment. The coaches have sent each player workouts based on the equipment the player has access to, but not everybody has a complete Olympic weight set and bench.
