Many more New Yorkers overall than in Ecuador. I think most of the companies I work with in NY had their employees working from home relatively early, but it surprises me that they've all dodge the bullet.

Which is good. One of the three in Ecuador died, the husband of my old housekeeper. My housekeeper herself is still very sick. The third is the boyfriend of the daughter of a doctor friend of mine who is doing his ER rotation. He's only about 28, and is doing fairly well. We had lunch at a Japanese place what must have been a week at most before he got infected, based on his diagnosis.
