Basically, my CPA firm was merged into a Top 15 firm and I changed from being an employee in a professional corporation to a partner in a partnership. That makes me "self-employed" and since I do not have two years of history as being self-employed, I was told I would not be able to get a mortgage.

I dumped all kinds of information on my monthly draw and assets and partner contract on them and I guess they ended up making an exception. Not sure exactly why, but I will take it.
