The weird pandemic schedule with watered-down competition padded his stats, something other QBs didn’t get.

Pretty sure his numbers would look quite a bit better if he had played his senior year. For sure they would.

Having said that, Zach had an excellent BYU career and will be remembered as one of our best QBs ever.

If he goes on to have the kind of NFL career that scouts are predicting, then he will be the closest thing to Steve Young that BYU has ever had. And that’s a high bar. Super Bowl winner and MVP.
