You likely need some appreciation for the amount of lives he positively impacted

He didn't dig media, which fueled some broad fan criticism.

Between rescuing the lowest point of BYU football in 30+ years, being a leader of young men, plugging into the community in various ways through Bronco's Foundation, Thursday's Heroes, firesides, etc., as well as righting the ship in many ways internally after a disastrous off-the-field, very public incident, he deserves, at a minimum, our collective thanks.
