Many of the Dodgers injuries were high impact players, whereas an amazing thing about the Giants this year (yes, I have to give it up to them too) is that the majority of their players were nobodies that were just 'plug and play' (i.e., not nearly as many high impact player games missed as the Dodgers) type players that some how kept doing just enough game after game to keep an incredible run going through the regular season.
