Makes no sense when receiver has 3+ steps on the defender. Don't need to throw it perfectly, but underthrowing it by 10-15 yds leaves receivers vulnerable to injury and leaves potential points on the table.
There have been many underthrown balls this year where the receiver has several steps on the defender and the ball is underthrown. Hopefully Jaren can get better on those opportunities. Would certainly take this offense to the next level if that can be more consistently completed with receivers in stride or close to it. Not the easiest task and we didn't see a lot of it from Zach until Zach's final year.
