I think we’re good if Dart doesn’t commit to BYU. Hall went 5-0 vs the Pac12, was instrumental in leading BYU to a win vs Utah for the first time in forever and was 6-1 overall vs p5 teams. He did it surrounded by a group of players where many were 2 or 3 star players and PWO’s. Meanwhile Dart finished the season losing to Cal and UCLA as USC lost their last 4 games in a row despite being surrounded by 4 and 5 star talent.
While durability is always a concern, it’s not a reason to not play someone. Since BYU has moved away from pure pocket passers and has been starting mobile QB’s (Riley Nelson, Taysom Hill, Zach Wilson, Jaren Hall) we’ve rarely gotten through an entire season without our QB1 missing some time due to injury. Even Dart missed some time last season due to an injury. Injuries will very likely happen whether it’s Dart at QB or Hall.
Right now Hall has proven he’s a winner on the big stage. He’s the guy.
