The tag line "ob la di ob la da, life goes on, brah" was an expression that Nigerian conga player Jimmy Scott, an
acquaintance of McCartney, often used. The word "brah" in the song is used how we use "bro" today whereas the modern "bruh" is used to question a dumb choice or action of someone else.
