Utah is open enrollment. I think there are good arguments to be made for and against but it is sad when I see
“Landlocked” schools that really can’t grow — they tend to lose their best athletes to neighboring schools where there is fresh blood, growth, resources, excitement etc… e.g. Corner Canyon, Skyridge and the like.
Schools like Hillcrest, Taylorsville, Murray etc… really suffer and almost always waste away into obscurity.
