I’m realizing it is so hard to compare QBs and RBs at BYU across generations
I honestly can’t make up my mind if Allgeier, Staley, or Jamaal is the best.
At QB, I can say that Max Hall’s career was significantly more impressive than Beck’s, but Beck was a better QB his senior year. I could say Zach may have had the most complete skill set but only showed it consistently in one season against a weaker schedule with no P5 teams. He also didn’t have the benefit of a senior year. I could say Jaren has the best overall win resume, has a complete skill set, and he makes very few mistakes, but he hasn’t played a full season at BYU and he has had excellent receivers.
It’s also fair to say a great college QB like Detmer can be a poor fit for the NFL and we’ll see what Jaren can do vs Zach depending on a number of factors.

i still don't have the confidence in him that I had with Wilson, Max, Beck (Sr. yr) or Sark. By the end of the year

I wouldnt compare Hall to Detmer, I think he is a better, more athletic version of Senior Year John Beck.

Of course it’s debatable. We’re here debating it. I’m not saying Jaren isn’t great or even that his stats aren’t better.
