For the most part, only when he turned play calling over to others. Then the D
Sucked. When he took control back it immediately improved.
Side note 1) this speaks to how a different play calling can drastically effect the same defensive personnel and game results
Side note 2) I am referring to Bronco post switch to 3-4. When he was running the 3-3-5 it sucked, even when he called the plays. This also denotes how scheme can drastically effect the same personnel. But at least he was self aware enough to recognized the need and was willing to switch
