Honestly, I think there's a very good chance for about 3 reasons
  1. His brother is at BYU
  2. At BYU he'd likely get to play RB, whereas Utah sees him as an LB - most kids would rather have the ball in their hands
  3. Utah has had an unexpectedly strong recruiting year - they still have some good possibilities to commit, but have to be running low on space by now. He'd be (by composite ratings) the #3 LB or #3 RB in the class.  If they pull another 4 star RB (as an example), I don't think they'd tell him to leave...but they might not be as focused on retaining him
  4. In line with #4, the path to playing time is probably easier at BYU RB right now than Utah LB (Barton, Reid, Damuni, Medlock and a bunch of other high end recruits have already pushed a bunch of talented  LBs to leave the program)
  5. All of this is reduced though if he's a mission first guy... Which I haven't heard much about
