That’s kinda what I saw. I did it that way because it was considerably cheaper.

We just built with Lowes and the quality seems on par with the last vinyl fence

Lowes especially does well in vinyl fencing.

Dependant upon where you live in the Country, I wouldn't go with the cheap vinyl
