There is a pretty large undesirable range between "ice cold" and "room temp." I
like my drink (usually ice water) ice cold.
Once the ice is gone, it isn't as cold and therefore isn't as refreshing or good.

I rarely have a drink last longer than an hour. At room temp, how much ice is needed to maintain that temp for an hour?

I like an insulated cup because it stays cold even in the heat of summer
