But I get it. KY wasn't his alma mater like it is for Pope. It's the equivalent of one of BYU's alumni having some success at some other school with less brand recognition, making them a tournament team, endearing themselves to that fan base and community and building up for something special with their program only to have BYU all the sudden be in need of a coach. Then BYU offers that coach a significantly bigger salary to come back "home" and be BYU's coach. It would be just as devastating for the program they'd be leaving behind.
