I wouldn't expect any younger guy to be a "lifer" at BYU
Coaching doesn't work like that.
A bad season or two leads to impatience from fans and pressure from high paying donors to find a replacement.

Good question. I don’t think him or Pope feel any sort of long term duty to BYU.

I think Kentucky is a much more appealing job than Stanford, especially with

My guess is Madsen would have stayed, but I don’t know the man

Madsen chose to stay at Cal over taking the job at his alum school; so likely would have done same at BYU
