I don't have to charge en route at all. I just charge up to 90% before I leave and then can charge again when I get home in the evening so it it pretty awesome. You definitely would have to charge (about 250 one way, right?). How long would you be Utah County and could you charge while there working? That is what I would consider before I did it. Also in my experience freeway driving causes you to get less than the EPA estimate so keep that in mind. Especially with lots of elevation change and cold.
