Nah. Saying "thanks" may have made people feel less bad about him leaving. But not about taking players with him and essentially lighting the place on fire on his way out the door.
I mean - I don't blame him for going for the best players he can. And I don't blame a player for picking Kentucky over BYU. But I'm not happy about it - and I wouldn't be less disappointed if he'd said "thanks everybody" on his way out.
