He hasn't done anything to show he'd be a smart coach Xs and Os wise
He hasn't even been an "offensive" or "defensive" coordinator for a time with a system that graded out high. Perhaps he would be better than average but there is no reason to expect more.
Young on the other hand is an offensive savant. Or at least NBA teams seem to think that.
