Maybe it's a "one in a million" chance - but, he seemed to have a good experience at BYU. He obviously wants to play next-level basketball and has a good foundation. He needs a place that will really develop him, and Young said he will put that in place.
It has paid dividends for BYU and other programs to not "burn bridges," as maybe it doesn't work out at a certain time but a player comes there later. I love that Chris Burgess came to BYU - even if many years later as a coach. I love that Nick Robinson came to BYU - even if many years later as a coach. Keeping doors open might make it of interest to Marcus Adams at some point. Who knows?
