bitter fallout with a handful of players and others on the Utah basketball scene was widely discussed. People shouldn’t be surprised that Pope essentially walked away from his BYU family with little more than a simple wave. Pope is a good, but not great coach. But he can be a jerk. He can be very petty. And he is a poor communicator when he has decided he wants to move on from you. So, it’s no surprise to me that Pope handled his transition to Kentucky the way that he did.
