And I'll add this - for any spots that are very unlevel, use soil for at least a couple years.
You don't want to have areas that have 2-3 inches of sand, because sand provides no nutrients. I know sand is the most common answer you've received, but it'd be safer if you stuck with screened topsoil. Sand is best when you're at the point where you're trying to fine-tune/perfect it.
