a fair amount of black SUVs were roaming around for a few days, randomly parking wherever to let their passengers out, and then I heard from a banker friend that the shareholder meeting was going on for Goldman...it's a bunch of ops/back-office/analyst positions in Utah, and they take up some floors at some fairly prominent locations downtown. You'll know because those are the buildings that are a pain to get into to see any other tenant that may be in there. Goldman never has their name out front on any signage or as one walks into a lobby.
I'm grateful they can be helpful to the state's economy; I just look at those types of institutions as the devil - they'll tell you what you want to hear, never stand for anything, only preoccupied with the return to shareholders, at really any cost.
