The expansion fees are kept entirely by the owners though and wouldn’t impact the salary cap, right?

It’s crazy. 10 years ago Kobe was making $30m and that was the highest salary in the NBA. $20m was a Top 5 salary. Soon $20m will basically be near exception level money
