Lots of industry folks concerned about it flopping and why, but I think the answer is that it just wasn't quite good enough.
Not the kind of movie you tell friends they need to go see. More of an "if you want to see a movie . . ." kind of movie.
It mostly needed to be a bit funnier IMO.
I also think the visual look wasn't great. Half the movie was just brown. Which is funny, because I think they made the in-movie set location uglier than it actually was, based on some BTS clips I saw.
