Because they carry computers in their pockets.

They don’t need to know how to do the computations, their phones will do that for them. What they need is to understand what those computations mean. That’s much harder. The new math is designed to help them know that. Unfortunately, it’s not working very well.

I don't follow. All of my "real settings" where I do math is A. In my head. B. At my computer. New math is better suited
