In-N-Out is fine. Your evaluation is pretty good. But the problem is there are these In-N-Out addicts who go around acting like it is the BEST FOOD EVER (!!!!) and eating anywhere else is a waste of time and money.
Then you go there and it is OK. Honest to goodness, the few times I've had it I've thought "Oh, this is a lot like Artic Circle, but fresh."
Nothing wrong with being a well-made Artic Circle. But something is wrong if you eat there and then become an In-N-Out evangelist, peddling shirts and "secret menu" passwords. It doesn't help that almost all of these people are from California and spend as much time reminding you that they are from California.
