That's what makes the rivalry so great. Other wins may be more significant, like Oklahoma '09, Oregon '06, or Texas '13, but no win gets us more fired up than a win against Utah. No loss is more deflating than loss against Utah. CB can act like the emotional response related to the rivalry game isn't bigger than other games, but I have a hard time believing that. At this point BYU is little brother. Do you realize that the '14 BYU recruiting class were all in 7th grade the last time BYU beat Utah? After years of losing, apathy creeps in. Losing has consequences.
BYU is independent. That means the closest thing to we have to a league is the state of Utah. Right now BYU isn't even the best program in a 3 team league. That is frustrating and unacceptable to me. When Bronco can prove that he can handle beating the 10th place PAC team at least 50% of the time, then I'll consider supporting the program with season ticket purchases.
