Unfortunately the result of hand-timed 40s gives a wholly inaccurate understanding of a player's 40 time. In fact, there's a real disadvantage for guys that report a Sparq camp time, or any other laser timed 40, because they might run a 4.55 (which is very fast) but not nearly impressive as the 4.49 *hand-timed* 40 claimed by another athlete. We all know how many self-proclaimed 4.5 guys end up running 4.6s or 4.7s at the combine.
So, with that out there, what do you think Taysom's laser-timed 40 is? I noticed that Jordan Lynch ran a 4.65+ at the combine, so it's not always pure speed that makes a QB a ground threat.
