The point is that there are far more D-I basketball teams at no-name schools without a football program, and that these basketball schools are not competitive. Consider the American East, Colonial, Horizon, MAAC, MEAC, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, and several other conferences made up almost exclusively of weak basketball programs without a corresponding football program.

You guys may not like the point, but those are the facts.
