Here were my predictions for last season:
http://www.cougarboard.com/board/message.html?id=12292004Saturday, September 5th: BYU @ Nebraska, ESPN, 12:00 PM EDT
Looking at the matchups, this game looks like a good fit for ESPN’s College GameDay to lead into. The bigger matchups will likely be at night or around 3:30 PM EDT (Virginia at UCLA, Texas at Notre Dame, Alabama vs Wisconsin, and Arizona State vs Texas A&M).
Saturday, September 12th: Boise State @ BYU, ESPN, 10:15 PM EDT
I think this game is one of those that will be kicking off after 10 PM EDT. I’m putting it on ESPN for now, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if it’s on ESPN2.
Saturday, September 19th: BYU @ UCLA, FOX Sports 1, 4:00 PM EDT
I’m thinking that ABC and FOX pick up the following games: Stanford at USC, SMU at TCU, Cal at Texas, Nebraska at Miami (FL), and Northern Illinois at Ohio State.
Saturday, September 26th: BYU @ Michigan, ABC/ESPN2 reverse mirror, 3:30 PM EDT
Last year in the fourth week of the season this was how it was for Utah at Michigan. I’m thinking that is a good guess for this year’s game in Ann Arbor in the fourth week of the season.
Friday, October 2nd: Connecticut @ BYU, ESPN, 9 PM EDT
I’m thinking Memphis at USF will air on ESPN2 around 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM EDT.
Saturday, October 10th: East Carolina @ BYU, ESPNU, 3:30 PM EDT
It looks like ESPN is already set on BSU, UConn, and Cincy as the three home games to fulfill BYU’s contract of airing three games on ABC, ESPN, or ESPN2. The homecoming game against the Pirates is likely bound for ESPNU and will likely be at 3:30 PM or 7:00 PM EDT, I chose the former.
Friday, October 16th: Cincinnati @ BYU, ESPN, 8:00 PM EDT
I’m guessing the Houston at Tulane game gets put on ESPN2 at 7:00 PM EDT before the UNLV at Fresno State game.
Saturday, October 24th: Wagner @ BYU, BYUtv, 3:00 PM EDT
No explanation needed.
Friday, November 6th: BYU @ San José State, CBS Sports Network, 11:30 PM EST
Already announced.
Saturday, November 14th: BYU vs Missouri (Arrowhead Stadium), SEC Network, 7:30 PM EST
I think this game is borderline ESPN/ESPN2/SEC Network. Ultimately, I think it gets the prime SEC Network slot. I’m taking a guess that this day will have two SEC games on the SEC Network at the same time, with one game on SEC Network +. An example of this happening was on 11/22/2014. Western Carolina at Texas A&M, North Texas at Tennessee, and Kentucky at Vanderbilt are the other games I see airing on SEC Network, with the Western Carolina and North Texas games kicking off at 12 PM EST simultaneously.
Saturday, November 21st: Fresno State @ BYU, ESPNU, 10:15 PM EST
Feels like a late start and will probably be on ESPN2 or ESPNU, I chose the latter.
Saturday, November 28th: BYU @ Utah State, CBS Sports Network, 3:30 PM EST
I think this game is highly likely to be on CBS Sports Network and I’m guessing it will be at 1:30 PM local time, right after one of the C-USA matchups.
