But division opponents are so variable. This year the Cardinals shouldn't have
to face the second best team in baseball (Pirates) or third best team in baseball (Cubs) in the division series.
The fact that these two teams have to face each other in the wildcard game is also a bit of a tragedy.

I'd rather do away with divisions. Top 4 teams from each league go to playoffs.

Honestly, I'd add two teams to go to 32 and then divide to 8, 4-team divisions
