Both my wife and I were divorced within the past 2-5 years and were married last June. There are many situations, divorce related, terrible luck, or otherwise, that have lead to unsecured personal debt that we both know we need to get rid of in order to move forward in life and enjoy the freedoms of being debt-free.
There are obvious steps that can be taken immediately but what about the "not-so obvious" ways to get rid of these chains as quickly as possible? Please don't suggest a DeLorean time machine. Already tried that.
I never had any non-auto/non-mortgage debt until the past couple of years. I am blessed with a decent job (it's all relative) but my wife is essentially having to work almost full time in order to just pay minimum payments on what she brought into the union. For countless reasons we need to fix this ever-bleeding wound. TIA!!!
