it isn't the biggest problem, overall--but the main complaints against the HC/BYU in that report don't consider the rights of the accused in the least. While too many victims do hold back outa fear, & possibly BYU should do more to address that issue, there are plenty of pseudo-victims out there to deter BYU from committing itself to questioning & due process.
Maybe a woman making the claims should be given at least the right to finish out a semester from the point the assault is reported--regardless of her HC violations in the incident.
Imo, the smear article puts much too much responsibility on BYU. You'd think the police have no jurisdiction in Provo the way the thing's written.
