Keep in mind that the criteria coaches would use to pick teams are much

different than the criteria university presidents would use. Coaches would worry about quality of team, ease of travel, etc. whereas university presidents would worry about sizes of fan bases, and academic rankings, and market size. Those are things that coaches couldn't care less about but will factor into who gets the invitations.
