Jamaal, Mom, Apple pie, et al
For the record, Jamaal's Mom is one of the finest people one could ever meet in this life.
Having said that, the real test of character and values is not where one was born or what they profess when all is well. The real test of a person is what they are when adversity comes.
Anyone who knows anything about Jamaal, from the time he was a skinny 17-year old freshman to becoming one of the greatest running backs of all time at BYU, should easily recognize the class, character, and values he innately has. He is a great young man, an excellent athlete who has become bigger, faster, stronger, & better the old fashioned way: through effort & hard work. And with all that he is a better person than athlete.
I'd be proud to be his friend, I'm more proud that my son wants to emulate him. I'd be most proud if my son becomes like him.
If someone can't recognize this than I would suggest staying away from operating power equipment, wear your helmet everywhere you go, and seek professional help as your ability to distinguish is completely warped, flawed, and damaged.
Jamaal is awesome...
