Of course it was intentional. But not for some conspiratorial reason.
It was because he wanted to prevent an easy basket, like you said. Not because he was instructed to do anything by Rose.

1 - It wasn't below the waist. It was on his arm. 2 - "above the waist" is

Oh good grief, that's not what I said. The foul didn't occur below his waist

Why can't a foul below the waist be flagrant? He made no play on the ball.

The crotch is below the waist, and a knee to the crotch is a flagrant foul.

What if ball contact occurred first?

you're going to have to be more specific.

Excessive contact doesn't have to be above the waist #1. #2 there was no

25 years ago it wasn't a flagrant but now that gets called 9 times out 10

Even 25 years ago you had to pretend to be going after the ball.

He didn't make a play on the ball. That's the definition of a flagrant foul.

Flagrant 1 is the same as the old "intentional foul." Mika's foul clearly qualifies.

Yes, it was obviously intentional and done on purpose

Yes, and Mika was instructed to do it so that K. didn't get going again

Proof that he was instructed to do it?

Just watch the reaction, it's obvious

You can disagree all you want but it was intentional and did not

Coaches tell players all the time to foul, have you not watched the NBA?
PortlandCoug
2/27/17 9:46pm
Wrong. Mika got beat on the play and he was tired of getting hooked all night

2/28/17 9:08am
You mean this reaction?
dilbert
2/27/17 9:43pm
I thought it was a reaction to getting hit with Karnowski's shoulder one more
dilbert
2/27/17 9:37pm
Yeah, Karnowski was using his shoulder and elbow up in Mika's shoulder

Since it was so obviously done on purpose it looked very premeditated

I never said Rose told him to intentionally foul anyone

Yeah, it wasn't a sweep the leg moment, just foul him so he doesn't
