People like to say he wouldn't want the job because he is fast-track to NBA head coach, but that is just wrong.
I have no insight as to whether he'd be interested in the job, but there are only 30 NBA coaching jobs and most of them go to re-treads and other good-old-boys. NBA assistants will generally take a good college head coach job. Especially if the pay is more. I seriously doubt he is making close to 1 million for the Jazz. Isn't he 3rd or 4th in the pecking order? He's not the top assistant.
Same goes for Mark Madsen.
