I guess I'm saying (indirectly), to prepare in advance where you're going. Do whatever it takes. Maybe look at Google earth to run the path in advance. Get familiar with the roads, the turns, the lights etc. Leave in enough time to account for potential issues. Just don't put your face in a phone while you're in traffic. Either that or pull off the road to reorient yourself on the way.
Just a few minutes ago I was trying to get to work as some pinhead who didn't know where he was going was doing a similar thing: looking at his phone, looking up in confusion, looking back down at his phone - all the while weaving all over the road at about half the posted speed. He was a danger to himself and others, on the road and walking along the side of the road. Prepare. It's that simple.
