i'm sure if he were charged with attempted murder his lawyer would say, "he pushed the lady down. which was wrong. but he wasn't trying to kill her or throw her under a moving bus----he didn't know the bus was there".


so, my official position is that whether he knew the bus was there DOES matter in an attempted murder charge. and i'm sticking to it.
