Looking at the video and the photos, you see that neither of them really adjusted relative to the shadow formed by the wall. Sure they weren't in the same line, but they were going to hit shoulders either way. Neither of them wanted to adjust their path for the other, so the guy just plowed into her. He was probably annoyed that she wasn't moving to make sure she was out of his way.
