Kyle Collinsworth grabbed 15 rebounds in the Florida OT game. Do we know Brandon would have been more effective had he gotten KC's minutes? Jimmer was 3 or 17 from the arc. Maybe his poor showing that day was the dominant factor that let you down. Maybe the early season injury to Chris Collinsworth was more unexpectedly hurtful to the team than any of those factors.
Live in your counterfactual world if you want, but your expectations say more about irrational dreams than it does about those gifted players.
My belief is that Brandon Davies is one of giants in BYU basketball lore and the Emery/Haws story is not done.
Your proclamation that LP3 underperformed is premature. There is still a long way to go before the Haws/Emery era plays out.
Moreover, only a few loonies were declaring FF results. BYU had three 4* players joining together with other good players which constituted best ever group of HS recruits. Even programs with multiple 5 star recruits are less than even money to make the FF. A team must survive 4 NCAA games to get there.
Now that you have declared Haws and Emery disappointments, as one who spoke frequently against the whole idea of LP3 and didn't predict any lofty postseason achievements for them, i will now predict that Emery and Haws will surprise you to the upside before they are done playing at BYU! Those are two game changing talents, IMO.
