The player can apply for a medical hardship waiver AFTER completing his eligibility. A medical hardship waiver (medical redshirt) is only granted after the player has exhausted eligibility and then applied for the waiver.
No didn’t receive a “medical redshirt”, but he’s eligible to get one if he applies in 3 years.
