including the lower end of the schedule, then BYU could pull it off. But the question posed was "with this schedule." With that caveat I'm assuming the teams on the schedule play around where they are projected, otherwise the "with this schedule" clarification becomes meaningless, because you could apply similar hypotheticals to every schedule. It makes raising the question virtually meaningless, because it it basically renders the initial question meaningless. If you want to ask if BYU could make the playoffs in any year if it goes undefeated and most of the teams that BYU plays have awesome years, including a bunch of 1-loss seasons, then the answer is probably yes. But I think that's a different question.
