BYU plays Utah the first game of the season in 2019. BYU could legitimately be in a position where they have a lame duck coach after Week 1 if Kalani were to lose. Given the fact that one of the huge black marks on his resume is the 0-3/1-8, a loss right of the gate could spell doom for the season before it really gets going.
