camped in lean-tos as well. As long as you do a thorough gear check before you head out to ensure the boys are well prepared you should be fine. Always had a lot of fun winter camping often in the snow. My favorite winter camp was one where we camped along a sort of S curve in a creek the Deacons were at one bend and then up stream the Teachers & Priests set up camp with a big bend of the creek and about 60-75 yards between camps. We wound up having an epic snowball fight launching snowballs at each other using some big sling shots we built out of surgical tubing and milk jugs. We managed to land a couple in the Deacons cooking fire. Lots of fun.
